This camp will be led by Francesca DAlessio, who received her MFA in photography, runs her own radio show, and has over 10 years of teaching experience.

Design Away June 23- June 27

Ages 8-10

Make your style come to life through color, pattern, texture and clay! You will create clay animations while learning about fashion, interior design, and creating your signature look.

This camp will be led by Joy Lui, a recent Peace Corps volunteer who served in South Africa and is an avid photographer, painter, snowboarder and craft-ista.

Rock Star July 7 - July 11

Make your own band, songs, and videos! Write lyrics, produce music, and create a behind-the-scenes video all about your band.

This camp is led by Irina Zadov, who recently received her MA in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in community engagement.

Clay Action July 14 - July 18

Democracy in stop-motion animation! Create clay animations about issues that are important to you.

This camp will be led by Ari Rinzler, who has a background in illustration & painting and is currently getting her Masters Degree from SFSU in Museum Studies with a focus in Museum Education.

Channel Z July 21 - July 25

Get into the studio and shoot your own tv show! Be the actor, director, and producer of a show about anything you want! These videos will be screened at our first ever Film Festival at the end of the summer.

This camp will be led by Eli Africa, an independent film maker whose short features and documentaries have been screened in film festivals around the world. Eli is also a graphic illustrator, story teller and life-long educator both in the US and the Philippines.

Shout Out! July 28 - August 1

Take control of local media, interview community leaders, and create blogs and podcasts! Take democracy into your own hands by creating media about issues that concern you.

Zine Scene August 4 - August 8

Create and publish your own zine as a guide to the 2008 elections! These zines will be featured at our first ever Film Festival at the end of the summer.

This camp will be led by David Balluff, who recently graduated with an MFA in electronic arts and comes to us from the Andy Warhol Museum where he taught a Youth Publications Program.

This camp will be led by Perry Aliado, who studied theatre at Santa Monica College, UC Berkeley, ACT and has his BA in Asian American Studies from UCB. He is currently a member of the Custom Made Theatre Company in San Francisco.
